About Layla
Meet Layla, a striking Siberian Husky with a petite frame and a captivating gaze from her mesmerizing differently colored eyes. At nearly 6 years old, Layla carries the calm demeanor of a mature dog, making her a wonderful companion for those who appreciate the independent spirit typical of Huskies.
Layla maintains a neutral attitude towards other dogs. She would be happiest in a home with another dog who shares her laid-back approach, but she's not suited to live with overly boisterous dogs that could invade her personal space. Special attention should be given to her sensitivity around her head and neck; she will thrive with a patient owner who can gently work with her to build comfort and trust in these areas.
Walking Layla can be a unique experience due to her initial reluctance. Known to put on the brakes and voice her discontent in true Husky style, she needs an owner who understands the importance of continuity and gentle firmness in overcoming her hesitations. With consistent leadership, Layla will follow and transform into an excellent walking companion.
Layla's energy levels range from low to medium. She enjoys playful moments when the mood strikes, embodying the independent and occasionally spirited nature of her breed. Due to her specific needs, she is best suited to a home without young children (under 13) and without cats.

Adoption details
We are not open to walk ins, appointments by booking only. All households members must be present before we can adopt an animal out.
As our goal is to adopt animals out from the shelter into loving homes as fast as possible, multiple bookings may be made for the same animal.
We are not able to hold any animals for any reason.
As such, there is a possibility that the animal you may have found a forever home before your appointment. If this is the case we will inform you by phone call as soon as possible.

Wed: 12.30pm-3:30pm
Thurs: 12.30pm-5:00pm
Fri: 12.30pm-3:30pm
Sat: Open Fortnightly
April 6th- 9am-12pm
April 20th- 9am-12pm
Sun: CLOSED
For serious enquires we are able to accommodate to outside our normal appointment hours. Please call us to arrange a time.
