About Max & Mia - 18 Month Old Shih Tzu (Trial)
If you are ready to raise a bonded pair of puppies who are going to be loyal, loving and always up for a cuddle then look no further than Max and Mia.
Max and Mia are 18 month old, Shih Tzu X pups. They are beautiful, happy, and playful and love to explore. They both love cuddles and belly rubs and are fully toilet trained. Max stands by the door when he needs to go out, but Mia has mastered the dog flap. Max hasn’t fully learn’t how to use a doggy door just yet but is otherwise confident and responsive. Mia is confident with the doggy door and lets herself in and out without trouble. They will need continued training for complete success and would best suit an active family, who will enjoy lots of walks. Max’s favourite past time is exploring the garden, finding soft toys and stealing socks whilst Mia just wants to cuddle with you. They’re beautiful dogs with great temperaments and would make a great addition to any family.
They’re both very healthy and have been raised in a home environment. They can take a while to trust new people fully, especially adult men who they can be timid around but are otherwise affectionate with new people. They have been very well socialised with other small adult dogs and get along well with them all. They both love attention and know how to earn themselves a belly rub.
Max and Mia are likely already at their adult weight with Max at 7.5kg and Mia at 4kg. We always recommend training to give your new family members the best start. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
There should be someone in the household that doesn't work full time to keep them company.
They need to be welcomed inside when people are home and allowed to sleep inside. They will be wonderful family dogs and are suitable for children 6 years and older.
You need good fencing with no small gaps, especially for Mia who is small enough to sneak through small gaps in fencing or under pool fencing.
They are in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Their adoption fee is $1,900 for both. They have been treated for fleas and worms, have been desexed and have been microchipped.
