About Colin and Hyacinth
*In foster care in Alexandria, Sydney*
Meet Colin and Hyacinth - a bonded pair of bobtail kittens ready to charm their way into your heart and home!
Colin is the born leader of this dynamic duo. He paves the way for their brave adventures, with Hyacinth always ready to follow him into battle - or at least into the next room :)
Sometimes when they’ve been split up for too long, one can be found prancing around the apartment calling out to the other and reminding them of the way back to 'their room' for nap time.
Together, these gorgeous babes create a whirlwind of fun, love, and lots of playful antics!
Colin - he’s giving ‘Ken-ergy’
That’s me, Colin! I sport a handsome grey coat and snazzy white socks. I’m the first one to dive into new activities and claim the cosiest spots around the house. My favourite? On top of the backrest cushion of the couch - it’s the perfect perch for plotting my next playful caper or just gazing majestically at my surroundings.
Hyacinth: the observant strategist
And I’m Hyacinth, with my cloud-like soft white and tabby fur. Unlike my brother, I prefer to take a moment before making a move, watching from a secure vantage point. I'm thoughtful and strategic, which means I know the best times to join in on the fun or when to enjoy a quiet moment to myself! While I might seem reserved at first, just give me a little time and I'll show you how affectionate I can be, especially with cheek and chin rubs. If attention is on offer, you can be sure I'll make my way over, ensuring I get my fair share of the love :)

This terrific twosome can’t wait to bring bucketloads of joy, mischief, and purrs into your life. Are you ready for Colin and Hyacinth to double the fun at your house?
Like all Maggie's pets, Colin and Hyacinth are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: ... will be true believers in the 'two is better than one' motto! It'll also be filled with affection and laughter, with humans who take joy in our mischief and games :)
A family that loves to play and cuddle as much as we do would also be perfect! Remember, adopting us together means you get twice the fun, double the love and arguably even half the work, because we keep each other so busy!
OUR ENERGY LEVEL: A bit like a rollercoaster, really - up, down, and all around! Colin's always ready to explore and pounce, while Hyacinth likes to strategise her play from high up places or secret nooks. Playing together helps us learn the ropes of kittenhood, from the gentle nibbling to the spirited chasing, ensuring we get all that youthful energy out in the best ways possible. But one thing's for sure, we both know how to keep the fun going!
OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: We love kids! Colin is super cool with being the star of a toddler's tea party or a sidekick in an epic living room escapade :) Hyacinth is a bit more reserved, but she's warming up to the idea of the love and giggles that kids bring.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: We currently live with two other resident cats! While they don’t always love our exuberant energy, we really want to be their BFFs. Until that time though, we cohabitate well and are learning all about grown-up cat communication.
We haven’t met any dogs yet, but we're young, adaptable, and ready to meet any friendly dog who's cool with energetic kittens!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
