About Shiraz
*In foster care in Lane Cove, Sydney*
Shiraz is the best cuddler in the world, hands-down! Her favourite activities are snuggling in close, and sitting on your lap while demanding constant pats :)
She also enjoys looking out windows and basking in the sunshine. She'll try valiantly to fit into places that are far too small for her, but she’s always up for a challenge!
Shiraz is a bit nervous with loud noises, notably the hair dryer, the washing machine and sudden dog barks. She doesn't mind dogs themselves, though - in fact, she's great friends with the resident dog in her foster home! She loves batting at his tail when he’s asleep ;) She thinks it’s the best game ever until he wakes up and tries to play with her, but cheeky girl that she is she only wants to play with him, not the other way round.
Like all Maggie's pets, Shiraz is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be fairly calm and quiet, and a nice cat or small dog friend might be nice!
Oh, and you'll appreciate my lovely loud voice when dinner time rolls around, so you'll never forget to feed me :) I love treats too!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Is 'couch potato' an energy level? Though I do get the odd urge to jump madly from here to there and climb up high, I could honestly spend all day in a patch of sun on the couch.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Because I'm looking for a home with a lower level of activity, young children (under 6 or so) will likely not be a good match for me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm independent, but also super sociable! I've met a couple of dogs and I wasn't scared of the ones who didn't show aggression or chase me.
I haven't had any contact with other cats apart from my sister Merlot, but I have a feeling I'd enjoy the company of another friendly feline!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
