About Duke
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This handsome little gentleman is cute, cuddly and affectionate like most cats but also has a very quirky personality that sets him apart. He's not the type of cat that's in your face and all over you 24/7 but he loves to be around you.
If you're sitting at your desk he will park himself on or next to your feet and hang out with you until you're done. And when you call it quits for the night and head to bed he wont follow you straight away and jump all over you while you're trying to sleep like most cats, but you'll wake up the next day and find him asleep on the pillow next to you or at the foot of your bed.
Duke love your companionship but it's very much on his terms. He will rub up against your legs when he's in the mood for attention but when he's had enough to being stroked he will give you a light swat to let you know that's enough. Same thing with hugs. He can be picked up and cuddled for a short duration but will let you know when he's ready to be put down.
He is however very loving and will happily cuddle and let you pat him for hours, when he's in the mood. He's also happy to sit on you lap and have a snooze while you binge you're favourite TV show.
He's also very playful, very cheeky and full of sas. He loves to play and chase with other cats and will always get involved when the toys come out. This little guys quicky yet charming personality is a constant source of amusement and will have you laughing for hours.
Duke is also very food motivated and the second you open the cupboard to grab somthing tasty he will be rubbing up against your legs like he hasn't seen you for a month. The is a very good time to bond as he will let you do almost anything to him when there's yummy food around.
But when you're having dinner you better keep a close on your food as he has a cheeky habit of hiding just under the coffee table and reaching one paw up to see what he can find. It's very amusing, almost like a cartoon, and really deserves it's own theme music.
Duke has a very relaxed personality and likes to chill out and do his own thing, but he also get's on really well with other cats. He will happily run and chase when it's time for zoomies and if you have a cat tunnel you will regularly find him in there playing "peek-a-boo" with the other cats. He is also very confident and not afraid to tell the others to go away if they're getting too intense.
This handsome and adorable little gentleman has a very quirky personality so we would love to find a weird and wonderful person who can shower him with love, give him his space when he needs it and appreciate a cat that's just a little bit different.
Duke is approximately 18 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
