About StitchSUA012344
Introducing Stitch, a stunning young guy looking for a special person to share all nine of his lives with. Stitch has a complex personality that requires a perfect match: a cat enthusiast who not only loves cats but is also adept in "reading cat" and cherishes the quiet moments as much as the playful ones.
Stitch is a fantastic companion and finds happiness in a stable environment. He prefers his surroundings to remain as unchanged as possible, as he is most comfortable in environments that are familiar to him. Like all of us, Stitch appreciates walking into his home and knowing exactly where everything is.
Stitch thrives best and reveals his true friendly nature when he is given plenty of time to settle into a new environment. His ideal human will need to show patience, respect for his space, and the ability to allow him to adjust at his own pace. Once he is relaxed and comfortable in his new surroundings, Stitch becomes a loving guy who adores cuddles and exhibits a tender affection that will quickly win your heart.
Stitch prefers a calm and quiet home, so he would do better in a household without children or dogs. While it may take a little while for Stitch to fully reveal his wonderful character, his new human will be rewarded with an adoring and warm-hearted companion who makes every day extraordinary.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
