Meet Raclette!

Brought to the shelter mid-February, our sweet Raclette has been with us on a behavioural journey, on the road of domestication if you will. A very frightened boy to begin with, Raclette has taken a lot of time to get comfortable with our staff. From a cat who would hide in the darkest corner he could, to a cat who now sits expectantly on his scratcher and accepts pats quite happily, we think that he will make a wonderful companion for someone who has the patience for him. He has a very cute meow that he has kept a secret from us for two months, and a wonderful purr.

Raclette is a large and beautiful lad with a very peculiar face shape (we affectionately call him our little piggy), and needs a very calm, quiet, and loving new home to settle in to. We would prefer he go to a home with a cat experienced owner, as he may be a bit tricky for first time cat owners. He would be fine to live with another cat, and possibly a sensible dog (no one too energetic for him!).
