Ellie

Met Ellie. Approx 4 years old, desexed female poodle, 6 kilos.

Ellie has only known love and is in rescue through no fault of her own.

She is without a doubt a divine little girl. She loves to cuddle (with dogs and humans), follows her human like a shadow, sleeps on the bed and is fantastic on and off the lead. Outings are a favorite!

She is shy with first human meetings but happy to met all dogs, big or small. She’s lived with bigger dogs and in foster care with multiple dogs and cats with no Issues.

She knows how to use the dog door and is nearly toilet trained but being in a new home there may be accidents until she establishes her confidence with the new home and human/s.

We are in the fortunate position that we know Ellie will attract many lovely applications.

We are looking for a home with another well trained dog/s as she just loves the company of other canines, someone home more than not as she’s also very human orientated and may bark if left for long periods alone. Someone patient and aware that there may be toilet accidents, someone that will let her adjust to yet another (& final) home environment in her own time after going from her home to foster to you in a short time period. Finally, a home that will include unlimited belly rubs, another favorite.

Please note applications are to be SOLELY through Petrescue. Do NOT ring, as the carer for Ellie is NOT the one answering. We are all volunteers and applications are generally reviewed late at night at the end of a busy day - Calls will be ended without discussion, and do not count in your favour.

We would however love to receive your application via Petrescue and this should include the life you can offer Ellie, the people and animals in your home ( or regular visitors eg grandkids), how and where you might take Ellie for exercise or outings, where she may sleep and/or anything that you think will help us match Ellie with you. We are always happy to read about any previous ( or poodle specific) dog experiences, and vet and groomer relationships you’ve had/have that you think may help us know you and your home for Ellie.

The process can take up to 2 weeks so your patience is always appreciated.
