About Lucy
Meet Lucy, a lively Dachshund lady who is full of life and love. At three years old, this little ray of sunshine is always ready to spread positivity with her hearty, happy barks. Whether she's greeting familiar faces or introducing herself to new friends, her friendly nature shines through in her enthusiastic yaps.
Lucy adores her personality-matched canine playmates. She's great with dogs her own size, and she doesn't show any signs of intimidating the larger ones. She's also perfectly happy cohabiting with cats; she's truly the epitome of a social butterfly in the pet world!
One of Lucy's favorite activities is taking walks. She enjoys the adventure of exploring the world on a leash, sticking by your side as she curiously takes in her surroundings. If she's unsure about anything, she'll promptly stop, allowing you to reassure her and guide her forward.
If you like the idea of having a companion who enjoys your company as much as you enjoy hers, Lucy won't disappoint. She loves attention and will happily seek you out for some quality bonding time. Her ideal day is filled with lots of delicious treats, scratches behind her ears, and plenty of belly rubs. To her, there's nothing quite like showing her affection for her loved ones through warm, tail-wagging encounters.
While Lucy is generally outgoing with people, she can sometimes be a little nervous in new spaces. Like everyone, Lucy appreciates feeling secure and loved. So, with a little patience, reassurance, and positive reinforcement, she'll be able to see these new experiences as exciting adventures to be embraced.
In short, Lucy is a happy, affectionate girl ready to find a loving new family. So, if you're looking for a pup who can offer plenty of love, laughter, and long-lasting companionship, Lucy might be the perfect addition to your family. She's looking forward to bringing lots of joy into her new home!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
