About Scar (62397)
Scar is typical to a shepherd that hasn't had the correct socialisation as a young man. Given his lack of exposure, he has taken everything in his stride and shown he really wants to be the best he can be and will aim to please whenever he can. Scar is affectionate and adores his people. He can be sensitive to his ears being touched but has come a long way with desensitisation work. Scar will need to be the only pet in his new home, as he doesn't quite have the skills of reading other dogs well when they've had enough of his inexperienced approach. He may need to be shown an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and any children in the home will need to be over 13. You may notice Scar has a slightly misshaped head. This does not affect him in any way and is merely a birth defect he was born with. His new owner will ideally have breed experience and be open to continuing Scar's training so he can thrive. Scar is currently being treated for a chronic ear infection and will be a foster dog while this is taken care of. He may be prone to further ear infections in the future.
