About Remy 💙
Remy started his life as a stray, but this soft and sweet boy has settled beautifully into the comforts of indoor living and shows little interest in returning to the outdoor life. He is a gorgeous boy with his silky long fur (that he keeps impeccably groomed) and beautiful eyes. He’s as easy on the eyes as he is on the heart.
Remy is a little bit of a shy boy, but when he feels safe, his loving and gentle personality comes out. Generally he is happy doing his own thing, but he will occasionally wander out to summon his human or feline friends by softly meowing (more of a squeak really!) to gain their attention - humans for head scritches and pats, felines for play fighting or affection.
Although Remy is not really a lap cat, and does not like to be picked up and held, this clever boy definitely knows when it’s bedtime! Most nights he will claim the prime spot right next to you, snuggle up for the night, and will present you with his soft belly to be rubbed. He enjoys playing with toys, especially human propelled wand toys and is a big fan of scratching posts. And like many of us, when it’s treat time, Remy is all ears and ready to get his share!
Remy remains quite skittish when there are loud noises (outside or inside) and if there is even the hint of an unknown visitor, he will scamper away to his favourite little hiding place. He often disappears happily for most of the day, or can be found soaking up the sun from a suitable windowsill, and birdwatching, occasionally making an appearance for food, treats or to check in with his feline companions.
Remy is currently in foster care with his sister Lottie, so could be adopted alongside her, or into a household with another friendly feline companion. He hasn’t been tested with dogs or young children, but his gentle nature suggests he could adapt to sharing a home with a dog with proper introductions, time and patience. When it comes to humans, Remy's ideal home is adults only, or teenage children who can appreciate his love of a calm & settled environment.

Adoption details
Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will email you our Adoption Application Form.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens will be suited to you, we will arrange a home visit or ask for a short walk-through video of your home. If all goes well, we will give you a trial period of 2 weeks to see if our cat or kitten is the right one for you 💕
