About Dion
Meet Dion,
Dion is a majestic young lady whose looking for love. She is suitable for first time cat owners or those with experience.
She’s a regal feline who prefers a peaceful lifestyle; because of this she is best suited to a household that is calm & quiet as loud noises can startle her. She is also best to be an inside only cat as the outside world may be too much for her.
Dion is open to meeting kids from 10 years & up, reason for this is that she is a little bit timid & older kids will be easier on her. Dion may be reserved when you first meet her, but she quickly transforms into a loving, curious and affectionate girl who can’t get enough of your attention. Dion is soft both in touch & in nature.
She’s not an overly playful cat and her energy needs are low; she would love nothing more than to curl up next to you for a snuggle. She loves her chin being scratched & her head & back to be petted too. She also likes to be picked up & cuddled.
Dion is already litter trained, but it’s best to show her where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction. Dion has previously lived with cats before (Cher #11269). Please note that we cannot test her suitability with dogs, this would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
