About Violet - 5 Month Old Kelpie X
Violet is an energetic, inquisitive, stunning black Kelpie X.
This intelligent young lady enjoys learning new skills and is very eager to please. She displays affection and this playful puppy has a contagious sense of adventure. She is happy both exploring in the back yard or curling up on the lounge for a cuddle to watch her favourite ABC TV show, Muster Dogs.
She loves to get out daily for a walk, loves to zoom around the back yard with her foster fur sister and play with her toys. Violet has been exposed to older children (6 years and older) and other dogs interacting well. She does display caution when encountering a new experience.
She has the basic commands well under control and is working hard on her recall. She is walking well on a lead with harness. Violet is treat orientated making her a breeze to train.
Violet would thrive in an active home with people who love her for her energy and all the love she likes to give. She enjoys the company of people and would ideally benefit having another dog to play with and keep her company during the day as well. However, would be fine as an only dog. She sleeps through the night in her crate and is fully house trained.
Violet Overview
• Importantly needs someone home more often than not, or a friendly adult dog or both
• Fully house trained and can use a doggie door
• Needs to be welcome inside – part of the family
• Is used to sleeping inside in her crate
• Ongoing training and socialisation are a must for Violet to allow her to find her full potential
• Untested with cats or pocket pets
• Requires secure fencing and space to run
Violet's adoption fee is $600 which includes her desexing next month. She has been vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Violet is in foster care in Maitland, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing.
