Zeus ticks so many boxes you will not be disappointed if you are seeking a GSP who has it all.
Zeus is a lovely natured dog showing great potential to be a fantastic family doggo
He is an absolute dream so whoever gets to adopt this boy is the luckiest person out.
Zeus is a German Shorthaired pointer. He loves to play and run about with toys.
He is always happy to see his humans for cuddles, interaction and play.
Be mindful before applying … A GSP is not for all people types as they are a high energy fun loving dog who absolutely needs a high energy active home..
Zeus loves running with a pack in the dog park. He has been going there a lot recently and has made lots new friends
He has many toys he likes to play with and he will play for hours either self entertaining or with you.
He likes to play fetch, but not always with a ball!
Rope tug is another favourite and he loves loves loves to have you on the other end
Walks, being out and about sniffing the daily news.
Cuddles, pats and belly rubs
Zeus is a lover of the two legged kind. He is currently living with two teenage boys, enjoying being part of the action but also happy to rest quietly and have a good snuggle with you.
He is excited when his humans get home and a bit jumpy but not excessive. He’s been practicing sitting for pats. If you sit, he'll come to you politely. He is improving at keeping ( 4 legs on the floor please ) before he gets attention .

If you are just sitting outside or doing jobs, he'll be pleased to just do his own thing nearby.
He enjoys humans company so we would like him included with the family when you are home which means inside time as he adores spending time with his humans
Zeus plays well with others and especially like his self invested game of “ pounce” lol
He loves to chase other dogs and be chased, typical young pup
On lead walks Zeus is interested in greeting other dogs but easily redirected with a leave it command
Zeus has shown a little dominance over undesexed males. Our advice is to always introduce new dogs on lead as just like humans not all dogs like each other
Zeus displays good social skills for his age and interacts well will majority of friendly dogs
Sit, stay, drop, come, out, bed he responds to them all.. Such a good boy
Zeus loves to learn, being a young dog is still learning his commands. He is great at sitting especially when a moorish treat tickles his sensitive nose. We are looking for a family committed to continue reinforcing his commands to bring the best out in this boy. Zeus has good recall in quiet environments but if distracted by another dog he has his selective hearing ears on lol
He is food and treat driven which has helped greatly with his training.
Zeus has at times lunged towards cars as they drive by, so a lead is a must. We suggest a slip lead for good control. This has lessened over time and recently has been very well behaved

Zeus has been spending much of his day in the sunroom and back yard while is foster dad works. He is quite independent and will not bark excessively when alone, he’s quite content on his own. He entertains himself with toys to chew and content to laze in the sun.
But he is a young boy and a GSP do when bored he can and will find things to keep himself entertained lol
He is very pleased when he gets some company and will happily find things to do nearby if you just taking in the sun yourself.

Being a working breed he definitely needs daily exercise where he can stretch his legs and keep his mind stimulated. He spends about an hour or so at the local dog park. In addition to that, he enjoys a good 30 minute walk around the neirbourhood every other day or so.
Zeus is walked on a slip lead and is not an excessive puller but can zig zag a bit
He is practicing walking on the left and is doing very well
Zeus would love a family who are outdoorsy, looking for a doggo to share adventures with
Zeus is fairly well behaved inside but still has some puppy tendencies of chewing the odd thing he shouldn’t so we suggest he is supervised inside and not left alone until he matures
It’s a good idea to have a toy box to offer chew toys like nylex bones, kongs ect
Zeus has a short easy to care for coat
He is fully toilet trained and uses his doggy for to access outside as he needs at night
Zeus travels very well in the car, secured and able to look out the window. He thinks it's a trip to the park!
He does get excited a 'squeaks' a lot on the way there.

Zeus sleeps all night. He sleeps in a sunroom on the 'dog couch' but would also snuggle with you if you let him

Adoption Criteria

Zeus is seeking a home where he will be given daily exercise so an active family is absolutely key to his success
Zeus would love an energetic female of similar size to play with but not essential as he is also happy on his own but he would love a BFF
A large backyard with secure fencing, no apartment of small backyard will be considered for this working breed
A family committed to ongoing training
Kids who can tolerate a bit of jumping and mature enough to tell him to sit when he does
Not tested with cats so no cat home please
We would prefer a breed or similar breed experienced home as we said this breed is very special and need a very loving dedicated active home as they are amazing dogs
