About Poppy
Poppy can be a bit shy when you first meet her, but once she loves you, she's a beautiful affectionate and loyal cat.
When she first came to the rescue, she was so scared. But she never scratched, she'd just freeze in a ball when you picked her up. But she's come so far and now she loves her pats and her tummy rubs, and she loves a warm lap to cuddle up on.
When her foster mum is home she likes to follow her around, and supervise everything she does. Otherwise she loves sitting in the sun, staring out the window and eating - she loves food!
She loves her foster sister (although her foster sister is a bit jealous of her) so she'd be fine in a house with another friendly cat. As long as there are no noisy kids or over excited puppy dogs, she'll be happy. She just wants a human to call her own forever.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
