Super special girl Katie has been doing so well in foster care for the past 2 weeks and it's now time for her next step!

Katie is a 4 month old medium sized girl - she's a mix of kelpie, staffy and greyhound (check out that long snoot ❤️)

She absolutely loves to play with her toys and is a gorgeous gentle girl who has lovely manners in the house.

Katie loves to be close to you and she will thrive in a home where someone is home at least part time.

She gets on well with other dogs 🐶 and could do really well with a social adult male dog to be her best bud and mentor.

Katie has only had a very brief meet with a cat - she was curious but not over the top.
If you have kitty 🐈 friends at home, you'll need to be able to work on staged introductions and be willing to separate everyone for some of the time initially if needed.

Katie is suited to a home with teens or adults.

When she came into care, Katie was underweight and petrified of the world.
She shied away from human contact and wet herself anytime anything new or unexpected happened.

She's already experienced trauma in her short life and she has made incredible progress in her foster home but is relying on her new family to continue working with her to build confidence.

She gets startled by visitors, loud vehicles and people of bicycles. That does NOT mean she needs to live in a silent home where nothing ever happens!!

What is DOES mean is that she needs a family to work with her through her fears, to socialise her calmly and at her pace so she gets braver without getting overwhelmed.

She's living in a block of units in her foster home and as you can see, she's learning to calmly snooze by the door while the world goes by.

Katie is an absolute gem of a dog who needs a compassionate and amazing family to welcome her into their home

Ideally we don't want to move Katie around too much so would love a foster with view to adoption placement.

Her adoption fee will be $480 (REDUCED for this special girl) which will include desexing, microchip and vaccination at one of our affiliated vets.
