About Hunter
MEET HUNTER!
HUNTERS STORY:
Hunter is a gorgeous big black fluff ball! Hunter was rescued as a kitten when he was found living wild on the streets with another kitten (his sibling) at the very young age of 6 weeks old, with no mother found, he was brought into rescue and nursed to health. Hunter was adopted into a home with 2 young kids who unfortunately we have discovered a bit too busy and boisterous for him and as such he becomes overwhelmed and stressed, the family is VERY sad about having to say goodbye to their beloved baby boy but know that a better suited home is out there for him.
HUNTERS PERSONALITY:
Hunter is a gentle giant! He has endless amounts of love and smooches to give to his lucky family, he loves to be petted, sit on your lap, cuddle up to you in bed (sometimes under the covers!) and his favourite thing is "making biscuits" and suckling on his fluffy blankets!
Hunter can be vocal and does like to chat, he currently has access to a secure enclosed backyard that he cannot escape from where he likes to chase butterflies and grasshoppers, otherwise he is strictly an indoor only kitty!
The vet believes he is at least 50% ragdoll due to his extremely long and fine fur that requires regular brushing to prevent knots (lucky he enjoys a brush!).
Check out Hunters videos to have a peak at his personality. Hunter has been in foster care with other young, friendly kittens and cats and gets along well with them, he would likely enjoy having a young cat friend to bond and play with.
IDEAL HOME SITUATION:
Hunter is a sensitive boy (after being born wild on the streets) and as such he is looking for a home with no little kids or indoor dogs please, unfortunately we have found he becomes quite stressed around loud noises and busy little kids and has required a urinary stress diet to help him feel better in his current situation, he will go to his new home with this diet and he may become relaxed and comfortable enough in the future to no longer need it in his new home.
The ideal home for Hunter would be a nice relaxed environment with a single adult, an adult couple or a home with older kids. Hunter has been in foster care with other young, friendly cats and kittens and gets along well with them, he would likely enjoy having a young cat friend to bond and play with.
Hunter will come with all of his things including his favourite beds, to help him settle into his new home easier.
Medical notes
Hunter is desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Hunter will receive a full up to date vet health check before going to his new home.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
