About Hazel
Introducing Hazel
Hazel is a 3 year old Groodle.
She came into our care recently and has gained so much more confidence in quite a short time.
Hazel was terrified when she arrived, she was fearful of us handling her and would run away when we went near her.
We gave Hazel the time and space she needed to decompress and watch us as we went about our days.
This allowed Hazel to see what we were doing, smell us and understand that we were there for her, and to give her the time and love she needed to be herself.
Hazel now begs us for attention, she loves a face scratch and toys. She will throw her toys in the air catch them and do it over and over. She loves to run and do zoomies with the other dogs and wrestles with them too.
She has a voice and will use it during play, or when she is startled.
Hazel loves to chew sticks and toys so she will need these to occupy her to prevent unwanted chewing.
Hazel is mostly toilet trained but will have the odd accident.
She is good with dogs but will need one of a similar size to play with as she can be rough. There must be another dog in the home for company and play.
Hazel will need a home without children as she is still quite unsure of them.
Hazel will more than likely revert back to her fearful state in a new home as her foster home is the only place she knows but in time and given the opportunity to settle she will soon gain trust in you and your family too.
Hazel does have a grade 1 heart murmur which will need to be monitored but does not need medication for this currently.
If you feel that you could provide Hazel with a loving, understanding home then please apply.
