💕 Lovable Lara 💕

Lara is such a pretty looking girl and she has a beautiful nature. In her previous home, Lara didn't receive the attention and love that she so deserved. She has come such a long way while in our care.

TYPE OF HOUSEHOLD - Although this sweet girl can be shy around new people, once you gain her trust, she will be your loyal friend for life.

Lara would suit an adult household where she will be given time to settle and adjust to her new life. Her people are her world, requiring a loving home environment where she will be included as a family member.

ON LEAD - She has improved immensely. Lara happily walks on the leash with our volunteers and has gained so much confidence.

ON-GOING TRAINING - Lara is still in the process of learning her basic commands. She is progressing well and this training will need to be reinforced by her new owner.

Lara received little exposure to the outside world before coming into our care. She requires regular outings to help her to further build up her confidence.

PLAY/TOYS - She loves toys and playing with them.

OTHER DOGS - Lara previously lived with two other female friends of a similar age. She is relaxed around her pound buddies and often tries to initiate play. Although she is very dog social, Lara does not cope with over boisterous canine friends who are constantly in her face.

CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - Lara briefly met some of our facility cats. She remained relaxed and confident, more interested in sniffing the environment. We believe it could be possible for Lara to be housed with a feline but she would still need supervision until you are confident of her behaviour around them.

CARE/GROOMING - Lara is at ease with all over body handling and laps up the attention given by her handler. She has an easy to manage coat, requiring a weekly brush and wash when needed.

EXCERISE - Lara only requires a short walk and a good sniff. She enjoys keeping you company outdoors and times sitting with you watching the world go by.

NUTRITION - Lara will eat whatever is offered to her. She has no special dietary requirements.

Lara is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. Her $550 adoption fee covers: microchipping, lifetime registration, desexing, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
