Introducing Keen Kenobi!

This sweet boy is still young, requiring help to navigate the world. He loves attention from his handler and adores anything adventurous.

HOUSEHOLD - Kenobi is a loyal boy and very people oriented. Due to his younger age, Kenobi could fit in with a variety of households. A breed experienced owner is preferred to ensure Kenobi receives the appropriate training and handling he requires.

ON GOING TRAINING - Kenobi is in the process of learning basic commands. He is still very puppy like and when excited he will jump up for attention which needs correction.

ON LEASH - Kenobi is not too bad on the leash but definitely still needs routine and expectations set for what is wanted.

PLAY/TOYS - Kenobi enjoys toys especially when his handler is involved.

OTHER DOGS - When meeting dogs Kenobi is excitable. He displays a lot of energy, approaching canine friends with enthusiasm.

For Kenobi to learn more about acceptable play and manners, he requires continued dog socialisation.

Kenobi would certainly benefit from having a resident canine friend to assist him to develop his social skills.

CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - When introduced, Kenobi did not give our facility cats much attention. He gave them a simple sniff before moving on to investigate his environment. It is possible Kenobi could be housed with a feline with slow supervised introductions.

CARE/GROOMING - Kenobi will need regular brushing and a bath when needed. When handling him, Kenobi does struggle to sit still and will wiggle a lot, wanting to kiss your face.

EXERCISE - Kenobi will require daily walks and a variety of activities to give him the mental stimulation needed for his age and breed.

Being a young boy who is still learning, Kenobi's new owner will need to take him out regularly to get him accustomed to different environments and social settings.

NUTRITION - Kenobi enjoys all food offered to him. He is a non fussy eater and has no specific dietary requirements.

BREED - Stable German Shepherd x DOB 15/10/23

Kenobi is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. His $600 adoption fee covers - microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
