About 10366 - Claus
⭐️⭐️ SEPTEMBER LONELY HEARTS CLUB STAR ⭐️⭐️
❄️☃️ MEET CLAUS ☃️❄️
Nature
When I first met the Angels, I was a scared boy in the pound. I didn’t like that place much. Even though I’ve had a rough time, my spirit hasn’t been affected. I am a happy and all-round good boy. 😺
I love to get lots of pats from the humans in my foster home. I'm a big softie and can't get enough human lovin’. My Foster Mum says I’m a very sweet and handsome boy and she’s sure after a little time settling in that I will show you my beautiful purr-sonality.
I’ll need to be an indoor only kitty in my forever home because of my pale features, it would be cool if you had a shaded cat enclosure for me though!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’d be best suited to a home with older kids and adults, as I’d prefer a quieter, calm household.
I live with other kitties and I don’t seem to mind them, so with slow introductions I could live with a cat friend or two! But, I’d also be happy to be your only feline companion.
My foster home also has dogs but we don’t have much to do with each other, Foster Mum says I don’t seem too bothered by them when I see them though. I could probably be fine with a gentle, cat-social pooch - with a slow introduction of course!
Likes / Dislikes
Did I mention I really like getting attention from my foster family?! When they are patting me I simply can't get enough! 😻 I'll flop at their feet and purr loudly to let them know I'm enjoying their affection.
I also like wet food so much! Yum yum! I’m a wand toy lover aswell. I'm coming around to playing more and more with my Foster Mum now I'm finding my feet. I also don't mind being picked up or carried around.
My PURR-fect home would be in a mature household with older kids and adults. I think life would be pretty good as a solo cat, or with a cat friend or two.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

10366 - Claus
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: White
DOB: 12/04/2019
Adoption Fee: $75 reduced fee as a member of our September 2024 Lonely Hearts Club
Claus’ adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination*, microchip, flea and worm treatment.
*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.
Medical Notes: Claus has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Claus will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
Claus has Gingivitis/Stomatitis, which is inflammation of the gums and mouth. Claus had a dental scale and polish in February 2024 which included removal of 6 teeth and then again in May 2024, leaving his canines and incisors. This condition may require treatment on and off throughout his life. Claus will need his teeth checked at his annual vaccination. He may need treatment in between these times (of steroids and/or antibiotics) if the condition worsens. He may need teeth extracted in the future.
Claus had Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. He was treated for this and given the all clear by the vet. He was also exposed to cat flu, a respiratory infection, but did not show symptoms or require any treatment.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage and Advocate from Elanco Animal Health for all of your new furry family members’ flea and worming needs
