About 10366 - Claus
❄️🤍 MEET CLAUS 🤍❄️
Nature
When I first met the Angels, I was a scared boy in the pound. I didn’t like that place much. Even though I’ve had a rough time, my spirit hasn’t been affected. I am a happy, friendly and an all-round good boy. 😺
I do still get a bit scared and nervous at first, that’s because I want to make sure the next person I love and trust is my furr-ever human. As each day passes, I feel more comfortable and I am working on building my confidence. My Foster Mum says I’m a very sweet and handsome boy.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I love to get lots of pets from the humans in my foster home. I think I’d be best suited to a home with adults only, as I do get frightened by loud noises and sudden movements.
I’m not a fan of some of the other male foster cats, but the female cats are okay. My foster home also has dogs but I haven’t had much experience with them. I may be okay with a gentle, cat-social pooch with a very slow introduction.
Likes / Dislikes
I really like getting attention from my foster family. When they are petting me I simply can't get enough! 😻
I dislike loud and sudden movements.
My PURR-fect home would be in a mature household with adults only. I would prefer to be a solo cat and have all the human attention to myself, but could potentially live with a friendly, female cat.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

10366 - Claus
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: White
DOB: 12/04/2019
Adoption Fee: $100
*Claus’ adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment
Medical Notes: Claus has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Claus will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
Claus is pure white, due to this he will need to be a strictly indoor cat only as is at high risk of skin cancer; a shaded enclosed cat run would be ideal for him to enjoy some fresh air.
Claus has Gingivitis/Stomatitis, which is inflammation of the gums and mouth. Claus had a dental scale and polish in February 2024 which included removal of 6 teeth. This condition may require treatment on and off throughout his life. Claus will need his teeth checked at his annual vaccination. He may need treatment in between these times (of steroids and/or antibiotics) if the condition worsens. He may need teeth extracted in the future.
Claus had Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. He was treated for this and given the all clear by the vet.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage and Advocate from Elanco Animal Health for all of your new furry family members’ flea and worming needs.
