About Hawthorne
💚 Available for Adoption - Hawthorne 💚
Hawthorne is a playful little pup. He is very curious and loves adventuring in the backyard. He is starting to get the hang of where his bed is at night, and currently sleeping in a pop up soft crate. When he wakes during the night he is happy to be taken outside to go to the toilet.
Hawthorne loves every toy but especially enjoys tug of war with his rope. He enjoys chewing rubbery toys as well. He is doing very well with his sit command, and is very food motivated, and will thrive on a strict routine with boudaries. He's clever and already starting to learn the down command.
Any family interested in Hawthorne will need to have dog experience, and be committed to continuing to provide the structured training, so that he can learn all the rules about being a puppy/dog, and be the best version of himself. He loves playing with his 9 year old furry Foster sister and morning and night time wrestles occur at the same time each day. They are now part of his routine. He is very social, however has puppy manners and thinks that everyone is a friend, which means having to be reminded of his social boundaries.
Toilet training is a work in progress and Hawthorne is still very young, so perserverance, patience and routine are a must. Hawthorne is starting to master the concepts of the puppy pad and the doggy door. He is having success with using puppy training pads, which he will use half of the time. He has also mastered the doggy door, so takes himself out side a couple of times a day.
When tired, Hawthorne is a very snuggly young pup and he loves to sleep on your lap or close by. He will often try to sleep touching his furry sisters.
Hawthorne would be the most perfect addition to a family that is willing to include him in daily activities and commited to providing the necessary structure and training. He would also love a furry brother or sister to play with, but is not suitbale to a home with other small pets.
Hawthorne's adoption fee is $800, and covers lifetime registration, microchipping, up to date vaccination, desexing, flea & worming treatments, and puppy training classes.
If you think that this boy could be the right fit for your family, please lodge your adoption interest online.
