About Odin
Odin is a lovable goofball with a heart as big as his size! He's known for his boundless energy and excitable nature, often showing his affection through enthusiastic jumps and playful antics. His love for cuddles knows no bounds, and he thrives on human attention and affection.
While Odin's cheerfulness around people is lovely, he tends to get overexcited easily, so gentle and patient handling is key to keeping him calm and focused. Odin is quite strong on the lead, so a confident owner who can manage his strength is necessary.
Odin is highly food motivated, making him a fantastic candidate for ongoing training. Consistent training sessions focusing on impulse control, basic obedience, and leash manners will help channel his energy positively and strengthen the bond between him and his human companions.
Odin exhibits signs of separation anxiety and may vocalise when left alone. Therefore, he would thrive in a home where someone is present most of the time or where his alone time can be gradually increased through training. Additionally, Odin should not live with cats, but he could potentially be rehomed with another dog with proper introduction and supervision.
Due to his size, excitability, and strength, Odin would be best suited to a family with children over 10 years old who can handle his high-spirits responsibly. His playful nature makes him a wonderful companion for active families who can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
Overall, Odin is a delightful and affectionate companion who is eager to please and ready to bring joy and laughter into his forever home!
