I’m your girl!

I’m a 2-year-old Staffy x who just wants to hang out with you (and your family, friends and kids!). I came into care last year and had 9 super cute babies. Now that they’ve found homes, it’s time for me to live my dream life! My favourite things are cuddles, bones, walks and sniffs, adventures in the car, relaxing in the sun, squeaky toys and sleeping on a comfy bed/my section of the lounge.

My ideal home:
- only dog
- someone who will include me in their life where possible
- Full or part time workers considered suitable
- Allowed to sleep inside

I’m fully housetrained and well-behaved inside. People have told me that I’m pretty smart when I want to be. And did I mention that I LOVE people? Making human friends comes easily to me. In full transparency, I can get anxious when I see other dogs sometimes. My foster mum took me to see an incredible trainer named Sarah Lufe, and we do our recall and heel homework all the time. My foster mum says that it’s a work in progress, but she’s really proud of how much I have learned, and that I know the commands ‘come’, ‘sit’, ‘outside’, ‘stay’, ‘no’ and ‘shake’ really well now. I’m good at ‘heel’ or walking beside my foster mum on the lead most of the time too. I will need continued training with these, and I can promise that I will try really hard when we practice.

Another fact about me is that I often sit in sessions with my foster mum and people she sees for work, who are generally children. Who can blame me?! I’m almost guaranteed to get a few extra pats for being there, and then I get to fall asleep next to the heater if it’s cold.

I can’t wait to meet my forever family, whether that is a single person, a couple, or people with children.

Her adoption fee is normally $400 but has been generously covered by a donation from The Underdog Co so you can take Josie home at no charge!
