About Incy
Hardly bigger than a Guinea Pig, Incy is possibly the cutest little Shitzu x we’ve seen! What he lacks in size he makes up with his big friendly, outgoing and loving personality. He’s just a joy to have around and without doubt his two greatest loves are- people and food. Incy never misses a meal!
He's a gorgeous mix of Maltese Shitzu x Shitzu/Pug and being a pup he'll adjust perfectly to your family, home and lifestyle. He's such a happy chappy who loves to trot at your heels wagging his curly little piggy shaped tail!
Even though he has a bit of growing left, Incy is a TINY fellow (2kg at present) and suits the inside life. Of course he loves the outdoors too, but his yard needs to be dog-proofed (no gaps) or else he could easily escape. He LOVES dog friends, but the size & temperament of your existing dog needs careful consideration as Incy is comparatively snack-sized to many breeds or could easily be injured with rough play from a large dog.
Incy has a soft black/grey and white coat, with lots of guard hairs which means he wont need regular grooming appointments, just an occasional clip up in Summer or if he’s looking a bit dishevelled. He is in a crate at night with no issues, happily toileting in the morning outside after being let out. He would need some more toilet training to be inside full-time, but he's well on the way and is showing all the right signs.
Though small, Incy is actually an ideal size to be an active family member- super light, easy to take anywhere, no anti-social behaviours to stress about and just generally hassle free. He won't need a strict or laborious exercise regime either.. out and about with you and following his people around the house or in the garden will be plenty. Incy loves a good play and is quite active despite his size.
Incy wouldn't take issue with cats, chooks, birds or other pocket pets given his small size and age- he'll quickly learn your routines and expectations. He is fantastic with kids of all ages, however his small stature does mean that young children could unintentionally hurt him while playing or carrying him and should be considered by his new family.
>> Please note: Incy will be available for pick up from the 22/4 due to desexing. He is currently with a foster carer in Orange NSW.
If you can offer Incy a kind and loving home please send an enquiry through via PetRescue telling us a bit about yourself, your home and your lifestyle.
Medical notes
Incy is in fantastic health and will be fully up to date with vaccinations upon being desexed.

Adoption details
*Before expressing an interest in adopting Incy please make sure everyone in your home is on board with the adoption and that it’s the right time (as in you’re not about to holiday around Europe for the next 3 months. Yes, this actually happens!)
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer a dog in terms of activities, outings and training.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if it will be welcomed inside.
