About Hercules
Hercules is everything his name would suggest. He's brave, adventurous, huge and active! He's also a complete snuggle pants.
Hercules loves to play and he's always wherever the action is. Even scary things like the vacuum cleaner - he's not worried! He just wants to see what's going on. He'll check out every corner of the house, pouncing on all the invisible bugs and swatting anything that has the nerve to dangle.
He likes playing with the other cats, but they find him a bit much sometimes. He's so full of energy he just doesn't know when to stop! He's not at all phased by dogs - there are two in his foster home and he just takes them in his stride.
He's always desperate for a cuddle. He'll wiggle onto your lap or into your arms whenever he gets the chance. He's worked out that if his foster mum is cleaning her teeth, he can jump onto the vanity and climb into her arms, and he does it just about every time. He believes dental hygiene is important!
Hercules would probably be happiest in a busy house with lots going on. He's fine with kids, they're just more people to play with him! In fact, if there are a few kids in the house, and you're worried about having enough cat to go around, Hercules is your boy. He's a whole lot of cat!
Medical notes
Has recovered from cat flu
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
