Layla

Meet Layla, a gentle soul who is initially reserved in new environments or around unfamiliar people, but her sweet and cheeky nature shines through once she feels comfortable, and learns to gain trust, after a substantial period of time settling in.

At home, Layla will greet visitors eagerly whilst being weary of the true home owners, the cats. Layla has lived in foster with other cats and is fine to be around them but can be quite fearful when they stand their ground. She is known to steal your clothes to create her own specialty bed and does know 'bed' and 'sit' commands, but usually only if cheese is on offer.

Layla thrives in a peaceful atmosphere, where she can feel safe and secure without too much commotion or noise. She would flourish in a home with patient and understanding individuals who can appreciate her gentle nature and support her in building confidence without pushing her into being pat, loud sounds, sudden movements or being left for long periods of time. For this reason, we think Layla would be best in a home without young children under 10yrs or other dogs.

Exploring the outside world and all its smells is a passion for Layla. Any long grass is an absolute bonus. If you catch her rolling on her back, she's in absolute heaven! Her owners should be able to provide her with at least a walk every 1-2 days as this is where she finds her happiness.

Layla enjoys enclosed spaces, choosing to spend her time inside or in the yard and is so well mannered she'll even let you know when she needs to toilet.
