Hi! I’m Bubba and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Bubba until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Bubba in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• LARGE BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• I am VERY STRONG, I will need someone able to control me but also willing to train me to help this. I do walk wonderfully on a halti!
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• NO SMALL DOGS
• I prefer the company of Female dogs, I can be dominant and reactive to other Males.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have a high prey drive so I can't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or chickens/ducks as I will chase them


Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock

My best features:
• Very playful
• I know how to sit, shake hands & drop
• Highly food motivated
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am VERY STRONG on lead however I walk AMAZINGLY on a halti!
• I will benefit from further basic training
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this.
