About Marlin
He is cute, he is fluffy, and his name is Marlin!
This little boy makes everyone’s heart melt. Marlin has a wonderful temperament. He is a confident puppy who is inquisitive and playful. Marlin loves being outside where he can play and explore the garden. His favourite toy is his little tennis ball which he carries around for ages and he even falls asleep on top of it sometimes! Once all the adventure is over and the excitement has passed, Marlin loves to snuggle up with his foster carers for some cuddle time. He is friendly with people and likes to sit next to you and get some tummy rubs.
Marlin came into care with his siblings after being surrendered to a rural facility. He was part of an accidental litter, and his parents are both loved family dogs. Marlin’s dad is a small white maltese type and his mum is a medium sized working breed mix. Whoever adopts Marlin will need to be happy with him being anywhere in between small and medium in size as we often see a lot of variation in litters like this.
Marlin has been in care with one of his brothers and three small adult dogs. He loves to play with other dogs and often follows the adult dogs around to see what they are up to. This little boy enjoys a good session of rumbling or a fun game of tug of war. Marlin will need ongoing socialisation with other dogs throughout his life, preferably in the form of playdates with known friendly dogs. He is a relatively active little dog and will require daily exercise and mental stimulation to meet his needs. He may be cute and fluffy, but he is a real dog who is not going to be a quiet lap dog for an elderly person.
While in foster care, Marlin has begun his basic training. He is a smart little pup who loves his food. He has been learning to sit but he does really want that treat! Marlin is crate trained and sleeping through the night in his crate without a peep until he needs to go out for a toilet. Being a young puppy, his new owners must be committed to his training so that he grows up a well-behaved canine citizen who can go along with his family to lots of places. Marlin travels well in the car, and often just falls asleep, so it makes it easy to let him ride along. His new family should look to include him in their daily activities and take him on lots of fun adventures in his life.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Marlin where he will be a loved member of the family. He would love a home with another friendly and playful adult dog who is already fully trained and ready to be a great role model for him. Marlin is also fine to live as an only dog but will need his owners support to make this transition. Regardless, this little boy would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not.
Marlin should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is fine to live with dog savvy children who are confident enough to deal with typical puppy behaviours and old enough to understand he should not be carried around or handled inappropriately. Marlin is young enough to be integrated with other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. He will be a wonderful addition to his new home and bring lots of happiness and fun to his new owners.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
