Alfie

Hi there, I'm Alfie! A sweet and sensitive young lad. I can be a little shy in new places, so I'm looking for a family who will help me feel safe and loved as I settle into my new home. I'm still mastering the art of my basic cues and would love for someone to be prepared to take on and continue my training!

I'd really love it if someone in my family could be home with me more often, especially in the beginning, so I can adjust to my new surroundings. Being part of the family is super important to me, and I'd love to spend time indoors with you.

I enjoy taking things slow and love going on "sniffari" walks where I can explore and stop to smell the roses-literally! I'm also a big fan of games and enrichment activities that help me learn and keep me focused.

I'll admit, I can be a little unsure of close handling, so I'd do best with respectful teens who understand doggy body language. I'd also love to meet a friendly, tolerant doggie companion to play with. I get really excited to meet other dogs and can be a bit vocal and bouncy, so having the right match will be important.
