About Archie
Meet Archie, a 14-month-old male Border Collie x Huntaway x Kelpie.
With the most fabulous temperament, Archie is a very happy soul. He loves everyone, and his idea of bliss is to be constantly cuddled by his human friends – if that was at all possible. Archie is a young, energetic boy who would benefit from exercise and activities to stimulate his busy brain. While he loves chasing a ball, his idea of retrieval – and entertainment – is for you to chase him to get it.
Archie sleeps well through the night and is very good on a loose lead. His recall is also coming along well. Archie is almost toilet trained and is leaning his basic commands, although being a young boy he will need continued training with his new family.
Archie is very gentle with children, however being a young energetic boy he would be best suited to older children. His ideal home would have people at home more often than not. He would be suited to a farm or larger rural or semi-urban property where he can run and explore. He hasn't shown any interest in jumping fences at his foster home, but he does manage to get under gates or though small gaps – so a secure yard is necessary. Archie has been a single dog previously, but has an older canine buddy at his foster home who he loves, so he would be happy on his own or to be with other dogs.
If you like affectionate, goofy boys then Archie may be the boy for you, please send in an application today!
Archie is located in VIC.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
