Hi! I'm Liquorice and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Liquorice until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Liquorice in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I enjoy the company of other dogs my own size but am not keen on bigger dogs
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• A family that understand I do allow you to pick me and will sit on your lap but at this stage I won't approach you to do this and am content being close by either on the floor or in my bed.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Sweet nature
• I love attention and being close with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
