About Evie
Introducing the magnificent Evie, a sleek and spirited greyhound with a heart of gold! At 6 years and 9 months old, Evie has already mastered the art of charming both hounds and humans alike. She's a seasoned pro at the racetrack of life, and her love for the thrill of the chase is only rivaled by her affectionate nature.
In the bustling playgroup circuit, you'll find Evie holding court with two mighty bloodhounds and a sprightly Jack Russell by her side. Her grace and poise make her a natural leader amongst her furry peers, and her gentle demeanor ensures that even the smallest of pups feel right at home in her presence.
Having dipped her paws into the feline realm in her previous abode, Evie is no stranger to the mysterious ways of cats. However, she kindly requests a leisurely introduction to any new feline friends, as she believes in taking things slow and steady.
With children aged 6 years and older, Evie is an absolute gem. Her playful spirit and boundless energy make her the perfect companion for young adventurers, and her love knows no bounds when it comes to showering them with attention.
When it's time to unwind after a long day of play, you'll often find Evie lounging gracefully on the couch, basking in the warmth of companionship and relaxation. And when the call of the water beckons, there's no stopping this water-loving greyhound from diving headfirst into the waves of fun!
In the grand race of life, Evie stands tall as a shining example of the beauty and loyalty that greyhounds bring to our world. With her by your side, every day is a thrilling adventure filled with love, laughter, and boundless joy.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
