Scarlett *On Trial*

*scarlett is currently trialling her new home* this dainty, gentle little pup is scarlett and she’s looking for a new forever home after misplacing her old one – will it be with you?????

recently rescued by sarg from our local pound scarlett’s a healthy, affectionate, young girl who is not at all yappy and “in your face” - she’s a real little lady! scarlett’s settled in well into foster care where her carer’s lovely female 10 year old maltese has taken her under her wing and is teaching her how to play before they cuddle up together for a well-deserved snooze. This bright little girl has already mastered “sit” and “drop” as you can see in her video and she’s pretty good on a lead and enjoys going for walks. Scarlett’s using the doggy door, is very well behaved inside and you don’t hear a peep out of her once she’s in her bed in the laundry at night – she even tries to tuck herself in by tossing her blankets over herself and burrowing in. This sweet, gentle girl is great around adults (her carer calls her “her little shadow”!) as well as other animals especially other friendly dogs. As scarlett is such a delicate petal we think she’d be best suited to older children as she’s definitely not a rough and tumble kind of pup, she's very "girlie". Having ended up in the pound with no information about her past we’re not sure whether she’s a cavalier king charles spaniel cross or cocker spaniel cross though she does have this cute way of lifting her paw and pointing as spaniel’s do so we’re on the right track. As she only weighs 5. 3kgs at 8 months of age scarlett will only be small once she’s fully grown which makes us lean towards her being crossed with a ckc. . . . . . . . . Whatever breeds she’s made up of this young pup is just devine!

stunning scarlett is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up her energy. She doesn’t shed much hair though she’ll require a good brush once a week and her longer “feathers” may need a clip every once in a while especially around her feet. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on, toys to play with and lots of cuddles will make adorable little scarlett very happy indeed!

scarlett would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a nice friendly doggie companion on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she settles into her new home.
