About Ebony Grace
**PLEASE NOTE THAT EBONY GRACE IS IN FOSTER CARE, ALL APPLICATIONS MUST GO THROUGH PETRESCUE**
Ebony Grace appears a black cat yet has many dark brown stripes visible in the sun, golden eyes, a long and slender body with a gentle disposition. There are few games that interest EG at this time. EG's sole focus has been nursing her three male kittens. EG has been a very loving and caring mother continually checking on her kittens to make sure they are warm and comfortable in their accomodation, are well fed and not in any danger. She has shown a brief daily interest in playing with a string manually thrown and retracted, is far too intelligent for the laser pointer preferring to inspect the machine rather than chase the light and other toys/games haven't attracted her attention at all. EG may be different once she is fully independent of her kittens.
Initially a very vocal and affectionate cat; once affections from you have been secured retreats to a quiet, gentle and sporadically affectionate existence . EG likes to greet everyone as they arrive home and first thing in the mornings. She may quietly follow you from room to room, lying close by rather than under your feet, lap or on papers/work that has your immediate attention. During the days EG spends her time watching her kittens, playing with them, feeding and grooming them and dozing bread loaf fashion on no particular spot on the floor. At night EG may sleep at a distance on your bed. I get the impression with time and gentle encouragement she could become a lap cat during the day and cuddly bed warmer at night.
EG has a good appetite and will become more and more affectionate as her hunger grows. This may be the path to closer and more affectionate relationship with her. EG has not purred often and it is not clear what makes EG content yet she is; a couple of times her purr motor has engaged without a clear ignition.
EG is well mannered and does not engage in destructive behaviours. There has been some minor scratching at the carpet which seemed to be more about desiring a small amount of attention/a few seconds of petting. EG does enjoy engaging in a serious scratch of the front door mat yet has not taken to any scratching post presented to her.
EG has impeccable litter tray habits, finding the litter tray no matter where it is or used to be, going only in the litter tray, even if the litter has been delivered too late and will let you know if you have been tardy refreshing the litter tray with a gentle display of dissatisfaction with you yet will always use the tray no matter the circumstances.
EG would make an excellent companion for someone who wanted quite constant company that wasn't demanding or intrusive with the possibility to build a physically closer and affectionate relationship over time, if desired.
