About Chips
Meet Chips, the forever puppy with a heart of gold, signature working dog smarts, a cheeky sense of humour, and a sensitive soul rolled into one fluffy package.
Chips is more than just a dog; he's a loyal companion with enough tricks up his hairy sleeve to keep you on your toes for a lifetime!
Describing Chips's personality is like trying to catch a whirlwind – he's a couch potato when he wants to be, then eagerly chasing after a ball or ready to learn a new trick or two the next moment. Highly intelligent, loyal, and always eager to please, Chips is both the life of the party and a sensitive, deep thinking soul, all rolled into one red dog package.
Chips is also an adventurous spirit, always up for exploring new places and trying new things.
One of the things that makes Chips truly special is his affectionate nature. Whether he's leaning on you for a cuddle or giving you little air kisses, he's always finding ways to show his love. And when he's not showering you with affection, you can find him rolling around happily in the grass, relaxing in the sun, or giving you his signature polite 'woof' to let you know he's still around.
Just like the superhero we think he is, Chips has his own kryptonite moments. When the thunder rolls in, Chips thinks that Zeus himself is coming for him and he needs to be right by your side so that you can tackle the God of Thunder first!
Chips is also a little reserved around strangers, so would thrive best with a human who appreciates his loyal nature and has no aspirations for turning him into a cafe frequenting extrovert.
Lastly, as Chips has matured (and started to feel it in his bones!), he has begun dreaming of life as an only dog. He longs for a life with his person or people by his side, full of beach and bush adventures, nights inside by the fire watching telly, and a human who longs for nothing more than a deep, loving relationships with a furry best friend who might just be a little too smart to be 'only a dog'.
For Chips to thrive in his new home and ensure a successful transition, enquirers will have the opportunity to learn more about Chips's wonderful personality, needs, and quirks during a call with our Program Behaviour Specialist.
So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who brings laughter, love, and endless smiles to everyone he meets and is as unique as they come, look no further than Chips – he's waiting to wiggle his way into your heart!
Medical notes
Chips is currently taking daily medications for pain relief and anxiety. He has been diagnosed with arthritis and receives injections on a regular basis, which is providing him with both physical and mental relief.
As a younger dog, Chips fought off a severe Aspergillus infection in his nasal cavity. This requires no treatment and Chips' full patient history is available to assist his new family with understanding his needs and continuing on with the excellent vet care he has received throughout his life.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
