About Lily
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Lily sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Simplicity sums up Lily perfectly. Her favourite things include getting a good brushing, lying in the sunshine, or lying contentedly on someone's lap. Most of her day is spent in one of her favourite ways - sleep! She enjoys her beauty sleeping on the bed or couch, breaks it up with some sunshine time outdoors, and relishes being on someone's lap while receiving brushes and pats.
Lily doesn't have many quirks, but that's why we love her. She loves to show affection and create deep connections with her family. You can count on Lily to start long purring sessions when she's brushed or receives a pat and isn't shy about finding you when she feels like some attention. Lily will also occasionally meow to communicate her need to go outside - that's a cat with a plan!
While she may be a bit timid with new people and possibly make a dash for a hideout, Lily is a naturally curious cat. Over time, with patience and gentle attention, you'll see her become more comfortable. She encompasses the traits of a loving, gentle, and laid-back companion, and her favourite spot will no doubt be your lap, where she can spend hours just being there.
Lily cherishes a quiet household where she can go for a leisurely stroll in the garden and bask in the sunshine. She's a refined lady of leisure who prefers not to jump fences, and when indoors, she's keen on using a scratching post or door mat rather than your couch corners. Her idea of a perfect day would involve plenty of sleeps, brushes, pats, and a spot of sunshine. While she would need any other pets to be calm and placid, she can share her home with other cats or dogs of a similar disposition.
Lily's guardian passed away, so she is now seeking a loving home to spend her twilight years. Lily is looking forward to sharing her affectionate, easy-going, and gentle nature with a new family who will appreciate her for the gold-hearted darling she truly is.
Medical notes
Health-wise, Lily is in top-notch condition for her age. She can sometimes have furballs and recently developed a few knots in her fur that required shaving, but that's pretty rare. Her diet mostly includes dry food meant for oral health.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
Home2Home currently operates a pay-what-you-can system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose the adoption fee amount that is most suitable for their situation. The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
