Kozy is a beautiful girl with a bubbly personality looking to learn, grow and create bonds with a new family. Kozy is house-trained and is always excited to see new things and meet new people. Kozy is extremely friendly, although sometimes her excitement can be a bit much, and is a great people dog always looking to be around you. If you are looking for a layback dog Kozy is not for you.
Kozy also developed a strong bond with her foster dog sibling and they loved to spend time together. Both big dogs, they played quite rough with each other, lots of mouthing, tug of war and so on, but with maturity and less energy Kozy should learn to play more calmly. Kozy will also benefit from some extra social training as she tends to be a bit spatially challenged. She does chase the ball and bring it back but we do not encourage too much of this activity.
Kozy is an incredibly smart dog, she knows the commands sit and drop (down) and is extremely fast at learning new skills, as long as it's accompanied by some treats. She can communicate without barking, such as using her head to get your arm around her when she is looking for a cuddle, or when you're needing one.
Note if you have a pristine yard Kozy may not be for you as she does not deign to toilet on her walk but likes to be in familiar territory when she toilets, as in the back yard.

absolutely adores getting her beautiful fur brushed (Kozy is a long
coated rottie), but especially wouldn't want to spend too much of that
time without you and may show her disapproval by some inappropriate
chewing.
Definitely no cats for Kozy please.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
