About Rilee
Introducing Rilee!
Rilee is a Cattle Dog x born approx 15th July 2023.
Rilee was brought in to us as an unmicrochipped stray. She was absolutely terrified & in her fight or flight reaction, she would try to bite. Dee & the staff worked with her everyday to help boost her confidence & trust with humans. She came leaps and bounds with this socialisation when she was hit with the dreaded parvo. During her treatment she was the perfect patient for the vet staff & they all grew very fond of her. After making a remarkable recovery she is back at the facility she has continued to progress with her love of people. While she does still occasionally get startled by loud noises she is so friendly, affectionate & has shown no signs of aggression towards anyone or anything. Due to her (sometimes) timidness, we are recommending a home with no small children, as they may be too overwhelming for her.
You can see more of her story on our YouTube page;

Rilee tested well with a small, male dog. She was very excited and desperate to play with him but she was overall not fazed by a larger female. We believe Rilee would be suitable to live with other dogs, or she can be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
When doing our cat testing, Rilee looked at them, sniffed & walked away.
*Please note our cat testing is done through an enclosure, so these results may differ when a cat is free roaming in front of them.
We believe with a slow & controlled introduction she could be suitable to live with cats.
Rilee is currently untested with pocket pets.
Rilee has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
Rilee's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Rilee is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.
To enquire more or to meet Rilee, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Rilee is looking forward to meeting you and she is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
