About Abigail - Located in Preston
Hello there, dear humans. My name is Abigail, and I'm on the brink of starting a new chapter in my life—one that I hope includes you by my side. You see, I've spent my days raising my kids, and now that they've flown the nest, I'm ready for some quality alone time and adult conversation.
But here's the thing: I'm still learning that people are cool. It takes me a little time to warm up, but with patience and understanding, I know I'll blossom into the sweet, sleek, beautiful girl I am on the inside. If you have a nice quiet home where I can learn to trust and come into my own, I promise I'll thrive and show you the loving, smoochy girl I know I can be.
Now, I must confess—I'm still learning how to play with people. So don't be surprised if you find toys mysteriously placed in your shoes at night. It's just me, trying to navigate this big, new world in my own shy way.
So, dear human, are you ready to embark on this journey of discovery and growth with me? Together, we'll create a safe, loving space where I can learn to trust and flourish. And who knows? Maybe I'll surprise us both with my hidden depths of affection and charm. Let's take a leap of faith and write the next chapter together. 🌟

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
