About Octavia - Located in Fawkner
Well, hello there, lovely humans! I'm Octavia, and it's an absolute delight to make your acquaintance. Allow me to whisk you away into the whimsical world of feline charm and endless affection.
Love? Oh, darling, I'm all about it—whether it's showering affection on my human companions or cozying up with my fellow felines. You could say I'm "feline" it in every sense of the word! But hey, who can resist a little wordplay when there's love to be shared?
Now, let's talk about playtime. Oh, how I adore it! From chasing ping pong balls to pouncing on crumpled bits of paper, every moment spent in playful pursuit is a joyous adventure. And don't even get me started on wand toys—those magical wands of delight are my absolute favorite. Just wave one in front of me, and I'm ready to dance and prance to my heart's content.
But you know what truly makes my whiskers twitch with delight? Cuddles. Oh yes, give me a cozy couch or a warm bed, and I'll happily spend the entire day snuggled up with you, basking in your love and affection. Whether we're binge-watching Netflix or simply enjoying each other's company, I'm all in, ready to make every moment count.
So, what do you say, dear humans? Are you ready to welcome a sweet, smoochy lovebug like me into your home? Together, we'll create a world filled with laughter, love, and endless cuddles. Let's make memories that'll warm our hearts for a lifetime. 🐾💕

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
