About Shiro
*In foster care in Alexandria, Sydney*
Shiro came from humble beginnings, rescued from a cat colony in western Sydney. He was very unhappy when he first experienced indoor life and hid in a tissue box - so deep he had to be rescued!
He's since flourished, and relishes the moment food arrives in the morning and evening, meowing and rubbing up against you :) And he often eats so enthusiastically than he ends up wearing half of it, spending the next 10 minutes cleaning it off!
An active and happy boy, Shiro loves his wand toy, pouncing and jumping, and his brother Pharoah - just in case you're looking to adopt the purrfect pair! Here's Pharaoh's profile: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1034630
Like all Maggie's pets, Shiro is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: The resident cats in my foster home are my favourite obsession, so I'd LOVE a feline friend in my new pad! If I’m to be a solo kitty, you'll hopefully be home quite a bit so we can hang out and keep each other company.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I definitely get the kitten zoomies a few times a day, but I also adore a good nap and a cuddle!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I’m a pretty curious little guy but I haven’t met any children yet. I think I could be OK with kids aged 10+ if they were patient and kind with me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love my brother and I'm fascinated by the resident cats here, so I think a full-time kitty friend would go down a treat!
I’ve also been exposed to my canine foster sister Celeste who’s an 18-month-old mixed breed. It’s early days, but I think I’d be up for living with a relaxed dog who respects my boundaries.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
