About Lia
Lia is now ready to find her new for ever home, could this be with you?
She came into the rescue as a scared shut down girl who didn’t know what the world was about.
Lia has now started coming out of her shell and is starting to show a playful side. While she’s not keen on toys she will run around after the other dogs when playing fetch.
She sleeps in a crate at night without any issues and while this has always been her safe place to hide she has started coming out and seeking human attention.
Lia is good around kids, cats and other dogs however she can be selective with female dogs and will show her dominance.
While being placed in a home with another dog would benefit her, she would be just as happy to be in her own. She will benefit from continued supervised interactions with other dogs if she were homed as an only dog.
Lia walks ok when on lead but does need further training, loves going for trips in the car and is learning the basics in obedience.
When out in new places she can be a little unsure but with guidance from her handler she is doing well. (Ham and chicken nuggets are great currency for her)
She will need someone who can continue her interaction with the world, continue training with her and someone who can guide her through scary times without babying her.
Lia is still cautious of meeting new people, with continued exposure she is slowly understanding that her carer has her back.
If you have what Lia needs and deserves then fill in an application and the successful applicant will get the chance to meet her.
