Introducing Ophelia, affectionately known as Opie, the delightful pup with a heart of gold! 🐾 Opie is a bundle of joy who brings happiness wherever she goes, with her playful spirit and loving nature.

Opie's love for soft toys knows no bounds, especially her favourite sloth from the op shop! She'll eagerly chase after her toys when you throw them, and she'll proudly bring them back to her bed, eagerly awaiting your next play session.

While Opie may have a dislike for the hose, she's a beach-loving pup who enjoys the sand and surf. She'll calmly let you wash her if you join her in the shower ;)

Opie's playful antics extend to helping with gardening, where she'll enthusiastically try to "help" by stealing weeds from your hand and then zooming around with excitement! She's also a fan of tug-of-war - her favourite game!

Though still working on toilet training, Opie is making strides every day. She's sweet with kids but can be a bit nervous around the super young ones, preferring the company of slightly older children. Opie loves playing with other dogs and is gradually mastering the art of walking well on a lead.

One of Opie's most endearing traits is her big butt wiggle when you greet her in the morning or come home from work – a sure sign of her happiness and excitement to see you. She thrives on human companionship and is happiest when she's by your side, spreading joy and love wherever she goes.

Adopting a puppy is a big responsibility.

It's important to understand that training is just as important as providing food, water, and shelter for your new pet. Having an untrained puppy can lead to behavioral problems that can make the pup difficult to live with.  Of course, having an obedient pup is much more rewarding for both pet and owner.

Furthermore, it will help socialize your pup, making them better equipped for interacting with other animals and people.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
