About Bear
Meet Bear, a Kelpie mix with lots of energy!
This lovely boy is as smart as he is engaging, typical of his breed. With a zest for life and keenness to learn, Bear will be an amazing companion for an active household.
Bear thrives with plenty of activities and lots of space. Whether it's playing fetch, going for walks, or exploring the great outdoors, Bear is always up for any adventure. Enrichment is the key to keep this handsome boy at his happiest.
Considering Bear's energetic nature, an active household an acreage or a property would be the perfect home for him. His curious disposition means he's always on the go, seeking out new adventures.
Bear would also love a comfortable couch or a cozy bed for him to recharge his batteries after a long day of activities!
For more information about the fantastic Bear and how you can become his new family, please get in touch with our Shelter Manager, Yvette, on 0421 831 128.
Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: friendsofthepound.com/adoption-apply
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on the cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten. and 15-20 years for a puppy.
