Dexter - 14 Month Old Cavoodle (Trial)

Hi everyone, my name is Dexter, I am a 14month old Cavoodle.

When I came into care I hadn’t had the easiest of lives and was very shy and timid, but with lots of love and reassurance I have really come out of my shell.

I had never slept inside a house and had always been an outside dog, but I quickly learnt that I loved being indoors with my humans and snuggling was my new favourite thing. I love to lay on the lounge with you at night to keep you warm. But my most favourite thing to do is sleep right beside you to keep you safe at night.

My foster mum says how well I’m doing as I can now use a doggie door and love to come and go as I please. I’ve just learnt how to do zoomies and love to go outside and do them just before bed. I really don’t like to sleep alone I like to know you are close by, so make sure you have room in your bed for me. And I promise you will never have to go to the loo alone at night ever again as I will be right beside you.

I have been in foster care with dogs and cats and I love them all, I’ve also lived with young children and they didn’t bother me either.

I still get a little bit nervous when on a lead but with my human by my side I know everything will be ok. Car trips don’t bother me as long as I can see you.

I would really prefer to have a fur sibling to play with if you're busy as I’ve never been alone before. I have almost got the hang of toilet training but sometimes I just need reminding as I get so busy playing I forget until the last minute.

My foster mum tells me I’m such a good boy and she is always telling me I’m beautiful and I love that it makes my tail wag that fast I think it’s going to fall off.

Dexter is in foster care in Bolton Point, NSW. Adoption fee is $1000. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
