Limo - 6 Year Old Miniature Dachshund (Trial)

Meet Limo, 6 year old silver dapple miniature Dachshund who is ready for a loving forever home.

Up until recently limo has been a breeding machine, so now it’s her time to be pampered and looked after. Always ready to chase a ball or her toys, Limo would love someone with patience and kindness. She didn’t get much socialisation with people so Limo is very timid with new people, but with love and patience she’ll be your best friend. Her foster carer is seeing her trust in humans grow by the day.

Limo, true to her Dachshund nature barks a bit to ward off intruders, but it’s getting much less since coming into foster care. She would be ok being left alone for a few hours at a time as long as she has her ball and toys. Part time workers, retired or WFH people would suit her best. She has always lived with other dogs, so a confident, calm fur sibling might be good for Limo. A gentle introduction is necessary.

Limo has started enjoying walks in familiar places and is getting used to wearing a harness and lead. She’s looking for someone who has the time to help build her confidence with positive new experiences and socialisation. Limo can be nervous around strangers and new experiences so a patient and understanding family is necessary. A quiet home with few visitors would suit her best, she enjoys the quiet life. She doesn’t need a big back yard, but would like access to outdoors to play ball and sunbake. She sleeps all night in her own bed.

She currently lives with a cat and barks at it, she is not tested with young kids. Calm older kids who understand how to respectfully treat timid dogs would be ok.

Limo is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas. Her adoption fee is $600. She is currently in foster care in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, and is available for adoption in NSW only.
