Come and Meet Maximus!
Maximus is a sensational dog with a charming personality. Despite his young age, he exudes confidence and charisma, making him an instant favorite among those he meets. Maximus is friendly and sociable, both with humans and other dogs, and he thrives on companionship and interaction.
Max has been staying at our operations manager farm and has integrated with all our dogs and children (5 and 6 yo) alike.
Background Maximus has had a long journey of recovery from extensive eye surgery to correct congenital deformities. He is now fully recovered and finally ready to find his forever home. As a Shar Pei, he embodies the breed's distinctive traits of loyalty and intelligence. Maximus has a strong desire to please and is eager to learn, making him a capable companion for anyone looking for a devoted four-legged friend.
Special Considerations: While Maximus is dog-friendly and sociable, he may benefit from continued training and socialization to help him reach his full potential. As a young Shar Pei, he has a moderate energy level and will require regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and fulfilled. Potential adopters should be prepared to provide him with the guidance, structure, and love he needs to thrive.
Ideal Home: Maximus would thrive in a loving home where he can receive plenty of attention and companionship. He would do well in a household with or without other dogs, as long as he has opportunities for social interaction and play. Medical notes
Despite his young age, Maximus bore the burden of severe cherry eye and entropion (turned in eyelashes) on all four eyelids - conditions that caused him immense discomfort and hindered his ability to live life to the fullest.
But Maximus is a fighter, and with unwavering determination, he underwent extensive surgery to correct these debilitating deformities. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Anita at all the nurses at The Veterinary Hospital North who preformed the surgeries ♥♥♥♥♥
