About Maximus
Introducing Maximus and Joe: The Cuddle Brothers
Maximus and Joe are two charming brothers who are ready to embark on their own journeys and find loving families to adore. These delightful cats are not just cat-friendly; they would be ecstatic to live in a home with another feline companion.
Known for their affectionate and cuddly nature, Maximus and Joe are experts at warming laps and hearts alike. Picture cozy evenings spent watching TV together, with these furry brothers snuggled up beside you, purring contentedly. They thrive on human company and eagerly participate in family nights, making them perfect companions for game nights and bonding activities.
When it comes to living arrangements, Maximus and Joe would prefer homes with children over 8 years old who understand and respect cat boundaries. Given the time to settle in, they'll be an integral part of your family, spreading joy and love in every cuddle and play session.
If you're looking for loving and playful additions to your family, Maximus and Joe are eagerly waiting to meet you and become cherished members of your home.
To book a meet and greet with Maximus please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
