About George
Meet George, a 2-year-old Dachshund with a warm, gentle demeanor. George may be a bit shy and nervous at first, but with patience, love, and understanding, he begins to show his true colours: a loyal companion who loves to be part of the pack.
George enjoys the company of other dogs his size, where his friendly manners shine. He's quite the little gentleman and can also co-exist peacefully with cats. He does need a bit of time to adjust, but his warm and amiable nature makes the journey of getting to know him an absolute delight.
While George may need some basic training as he settles into his new environment, he is quite motivated to learn, especially when treats are involved! He might give a little whine when you first leave, but he's a brave little fellow and settles quickly.
George is a lovable companion who patiently waits for a family that can give him the consistency and love he needs to flourish. He's an wonderful companion who offers endless possibilities of playful days, peaceful nights, and ever-growing love. Ready to embark on a delightful journey of love and companionship? Consider giving George a place in your heart and home.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
